On June 1, 2020, a helicopter with a 3-ton payload got the Observatory on the top Pip Ivan in Chornohora mountain range.
As part of
the exercises, the helicopter delivered a water tank weighing 3 tons to the top
of Pop Ivan. The airline pilots, which cooperates with the UN, came to Kolomya
airport to test their skills in specific mountain conditions. These flights
take place in emergencies such as firefighting, search and rescue missions,
etc.
Five groups of pilots during 50 hours of flight in the Carpathians mountains are going to improve their flight skills in extreme conditions.
